  Openwave Receives Top Marks for Messaging in Radicati's 2008 Report
 
Market research firm Radicati Group ranked Openwave as the market leader and top player in the firm's annual 2008 Messaging Platforms for Hosted Email Providers Market Quadrant. The report analyzes key vendors in the messaging space, based on market share and functionality. According to founder Sara Radicati, "As a pioneer in the mobile and broadband messaging arena, Openwave continues to drive innovation with focus on emerging converged services, and has earned recognition in the coveted 'market leader' quadrant of our latest research report." 



Openwave Recognized by Mobile Entertainment Forum
 
The Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) held its showcase MEFFY Awards ceremony in Monte Carlo in early June to promote the mobile entertainment industry. The gala, designed to recognize visionary and pioneer expertise fundamental to mobile entertainment, gave the Special Recognition Award to the creators of WAP, the technology from which Openwave was founded. The award was accepted by Openwave's Mark Cataldo who chairs the OMA Technical Plenary, a direct descendent of the WAP Forum.

Openwave Adaptive Messaging receives a commendation in the Best Mobile Messaging Service category at the 2007 Global Mobile Awards.
