  Three-Tiered Architecture
 
Carrier-scale anti-abuse requires three levels of defense -- controls at the edge of the network, anti-abuse filtering applications at the edge of the mailbox, and end-user controls for setting individual preferences. Edge Gx Anti-Abuse delivers the complete end-to-end solution for maximum protection of the user experience.

Mobile Protection
 
One of the most overlooked ways to drive revenue and adoption of mobile messaging services is to protect the user experience. Edge Gx Anti-Abuse is a unique solution built for the complexity of the mobile environment. Shared Server Intelligence
 
Think of Shared Server Intelligence (SSI) like shared brain between servers that secures the entire messaging network at the instance of attack. Other anti-abuse solutions can secure a single server against attacks, yet remain ineffective against rolling attacks. Edge Gx Anti-Abuse provides highest level of effectiveness for lowest cost. Edge Gx removes 90% of the traffic from the network, reducing the message volume currently hitting the higher-CPU (and costlier) filtering applications. Edge Gx Anti-Abuse enforces the customer's Acceptable Usage Policy and brings a voting framework that allows operators to create their own unique policies that can be applied to inbound and outbound protection. With Edge Gx Anti-Abuse, operators can more effectively stop a key source of spam while protecting themselves from being added to industry block lists.

Edge Gx Anti-Abuse is built upon Openwave's industry-leading carrier-scale messaging technology. The solution supports the highest throughput rate of 375 messages per second so no bottleneck occurs at the edge of the network.
